SS has come up with a couple of economical ways to beef up your stock clutch so it can handle the power an SS engine can throw at it.Fits behind a stock derby cover and primary cover with NO modification required. The improved SS bearing race is a must for any high performance application. And if that isnt enough, put the squeeze on your clutch pack with the SS Variable Pressure Plate.
The weighted clutch fingers use centrifugal force to increase the pressure on the plates. The faster you spin your engine, the stronger your clutch engagement, all without increasing the clutch lever pull at idle. More info at SS Cycle Go Fast. They work great and lighten the lever effort at low RPM by pushing closer to the tips of the diaphragm spring. They make 3 different versions VP68, VP84, and VP95 for different power output levels. They have other killer clutch options for most late model H-Ds. That way, they increase the offerings in their own SS performance parts line to complement the items they manufacture in-house without having to do all of the RD and setup specialised manufacturing. AIM announced their partnership with SS on this version of the VPC earlier this month. It benefits AIM by getting the product into wider distribution. This special blue version is available exclusively from SS Cycle.
